In the village of Le-jeute, all is not well. Over-shadowed by the dark and mysterious factory-city known as Balthus, the inhabitants of the peaceful little village are lured into a life of servitude with the promise of the pleasures that await them. But when the workers realize the truth, it is too late as they are unable to leave the forsaken factory. In an effort to organize a resistance movement, a small group of fearless workers prepare to wage an attack on the evil factory owner Morlock. Their secret weapon, a robot named Klaattu, sits idle as Eud and Alphonse attempt to escape and warn the rest of the villagers. But Alphonse is lost in the attempt while Eud escapes, only to be found by Alphonse's sister, the beautiful Tia. Their peace is soon shattered as Morlock comes looking for Eud, and eventually captures him and Tia together.
